Migration of DigitricP Controller at Air Liquide Huelva

Air Liquide is an international company specialized in the production of industrial gases, and its plant in Huelva is one of the main facilities in Spain. The site is dedicated to the production of industrial gases and the supply of solutions for various applications, such as the chemical, energy and healthcare industries.

At the Huelva plant, there was a compressor with an anti‑surge controller that had been disabled because it was faulty. Given the age of the controller, there were no spare parts or official support available. Since CPC has experience with models from the same brand, we proposed attempting a repair or, if not feasible, extracting the program to load it into a spare controller in stock.

After analyzing the condition of the controller, repair was deemed unfeasible. Therefore, the original program was extracted and loaded into the most similar controller available.

Various tests and simulations were carried out on the “new” controller. Based on the analysis of the extracted program and the operating narratives, it was confirmed that the system was functioning correctly.
