Project Description

The FPSO Prof. John Evans Atta Mills MV25, currently in Ghana, is being operated by MODEC.

CPC has been appointed by MODEC to upgrade the Control Systems required for the new Crude Oil Separator Tank. The project, which required Advanced Control Solutions to address a number of constraints, includes within its scope: design, implementation, commissioning and start-up.

CPC Engineering Work

CPC Engineering carried out a comprehensive range of tasks as part of the project, including reviewing documentation, analyzing upstream instabilities, and developing both conceptual and detailed designs for system architecture and control integrations.

The work involved designing advanced control systems, implementing load balancing strategies, integrating control solutions for critical equipment, and addressing dynamic challenges.

The team also prepared detailed control structures, logics, and hardware configurations, conducted dynamic simulation testing, and facilitated phased pre-commissioning to ensure seamless functionality without disrupting operations.

These activities highlight CPC Engineering’s expertise in delivering robust and efficient control solutions.
